Configuration
Settings
Open Settings from the System section of the sidebar. A search box at the top filters the sections. They appear in this order.
General
- Output folder — the root all utilities save under, in per-utility subfolders. Browse… to change it, Reveal to open it.
- Job concurrency — maximum jobs running simultaneously (1–16).
Notifications
- Notify when a job finishes — a system notification when a conversion completes or fails.
Startup and window
- Launch on Windows startup — start BizTray minimized to the tray at login.
Updates
- Update channel — Stable or Beta. Beta receives releases earlier, with more risk.
- Check for updates — the Check now button checks the feed. Once an update has downloaded this becomes Restart to update. See section 15.
Privacy and diagnostics
Anonymous, opt-out telemetry. Never includes URLs, filenames, or media.
- Crash reports — send anonymized crash diagnostics.
- Usage analytics — send anonymous feature-usage events.
- Reinstall / Uninstall analytics — on first launch, send a single anonymous id so installs and reinstalls can be measured.
Bandwidth exchange
- Share idle bandwidth — controls participation, and whether the utilities will run.
- Exchange status — live; the engine's actual state.

Utilities
- A card per utility with a switch to enable or disable it. Disabled utilities are hidden from the sidebar. Each card shows the subfolder that utility Saves to.
- Utilities with configurable defaults show them on the card:
- Office to PDF — Open output folder after converting.
- Office Converter — Default output format, Default image format.
- PDF Converter — Default output format, Default image resolution (DPI).
- Image to PDF — Default output mode, Default merged file name.
- PDF Organizer — Default split span.
- PDF Fill and Sign — Default date format.
- Cards for utilities without defaults read "This utility has no additional settings."
About
- Version — the installed BizTray build.
- Privacy policy — Open launches it in your browser.
- Open-source licenses — for the bundled engines and libraries (LibreOffice, pdfcpu, qpdf, and others). Included with the app.
