Privacy and diagnostics

By the end of this page you'll know precisely what leaves your machine.

BizTray is local-first: every document you convert, organise, or sign is processed on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded for processing, and no conversion requires an internet connection once the document engine is installed.

• Three optional switches, all in Settings ▸ Privacy and diagnostics:
  • Crash reports — anonymized crash diagnostics.
  • Usage analytics — anonymous feature-usage events.
  • Reinstall / Uninstall analytics — a single anonymous id on first launch, to measure installs and reinstalls.
• No document content, ever. None of the three ever includes your filenames or the contents of the documents you process. At most they carry which utility was used and a coarse error class.
