PDF Converter
Get a PDF out into something you can actually work with. Pull the text layer out as plain text, Markdown or HTML, render pages to PNG or JPG at the resolution you choose, or turn a document into PowerPoint slides.
Converted files land in your Converted folder.

What you can do with it
Handy things people use PDF Converter for
A few real-world jobs it makes quick — you'll find plenty more.
- Lift the text out of a report so you can quote it without retyping.
- Render a page as a PNG to drop into a slide or a message.
- Convert a PDF deck back into editable PowerPoint slides.
- Export a whole document as Markdown for a notes app or a wiki.
What it does
Everything PDF Converter handles
A focused set of jobs, each done well — and nothing that phones home.
Real text, not OCR
Where a PDF has a text layer, that is what gets extracted — accurate, instant, and with no recognition errors to proofread.
Pages as images
Render any page to PNG or JPG at the resolution you pick, from a quick thumbnail to something print-sized.
Back to slides
Turn a PDF into a PowerPoint file with one image slide per page — handy when the original deck is long gone.
Page ranges and batches
Convert just pages 4 to 9, or run the same job across a folder of documents in one go.
How it works
From file to finished in a few clicks
- 1
Drop the PDF in
One file or a folder full of them.
- 2
Pick your target and range
Text, Markdown, HTML, PNG, JPG or PPTX — plus the pages you want and, for images, the resolution.
- 3
Convert
Everything renders on your machine, at whatever speed your CPU manages. No queue, no upload.
Under the hood
The engines, named plainly
The engines, named plainly.
- Text extraction
- pdfjs-dist — reads the document's own text layer
- Rasterisation
- PDFium (WebAssembly build) — page to PNG or JPG
- Slides
- PptxGenJS — one image slide per page
- Output
- Text · Markdown · HTML · PNG · JPG · PPTX
- Platform
- Windows 10/11 (x64) — runs fully on your machine
A scanned PDF has no text layer, so text, Markdown and HTML output will come back empty for one — the pages are pictures. Rendering to PNG or JPG still works perfectly. OCR is not in this version.
